Essential Qualification
All those candidates who want to be applying for the SSC Steno Grade C & D Application form 2017 must be completed 12th or its equivalent with good marks from a recognized university with minimum aggregate marks.
Age Limit: Age Should in between from 18 to 27 years as on 01 August 2017. Age relexation will be as per government norms.
Age Relaxations:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
PH: 10 years
PH (OBC): 13 years
PH (SC/ST): 15 years
Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of the Computer Based Examination, Computer Proficiency Test and Descriptive Test.
Written Examination Pattern:
It is objective based written examination
Question paper will be comprised of multiple choice questions only.
Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
SSC Stenographer Skill test Pattern:
Applicants who will qualifying marks in the Written Exam will only be called for the Skill Test.
Candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade “C‟ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade “D‟.
Application Fee: General, OBC and UR Candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- through SBI Challan, net-banking, or credit/debit card. SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PH and Women Candidates are exempted from paying any fee.
Admit Card
Staff Selection Commission will issue admit cards to candidates in online mode. All successfully registered candidates would be capable to obtain their admit card 15 days before the scheduled exam date. For your convenience, a direct link would be provided to you in this page for downloading your respective admit card.

You may expect your result in the month of March, 2018. SSC releases result of qualified candidates in pdf format at its official website i.e. http://ssconline.nic.in. Candidate will be able to view result by using his/her roll number.

How to Apply For SSC Stenographer Online Application Form:
- Visit the official site of the organization @ ssconline.nic.in
- Then click on the ‘Registration Part’ section and if you are a new user then click on the “Register” tab.
- After that enter the ‘Personal Details’, ‘Basic Details’ and ‘Contact Details’ and click “Submit” button.
- After that, you will get provisional Registration Id and Password and & upload your photograph and signature on indicated space.
- If you have registered then you have to follow “Apply Part” section which is available on homepage of the official site.
- Enter the required information such as “Registration No”, “Password” and “Text” and click “Submit” button.
- The details filled in by him/her earlier, at the time of registration photo process, will automatically be filled in the respective fields in the application form.
- Now check the format once and press “Submit” button. in the end candidates must get a printed copy of it for future use.
