India’s Largest School Hackathon Begins!
Introduction
The Viksit
Bharat Buildathon 2025 is a landmark national innovation movement organized
by the Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL) under the
Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM)
and NITI Aayog. The aim is to spark creativity, problem-solving, and
design thinking among school students (Classes 6 to 12) across India.

• Swadeshi (Indigenous innovation)
• Vocal for Local
• Samriddh Bharat (Prosperity & Sustainable Growth) - Scale & Reach:
It is envisioned to engage 1 crore students from 1.5 lakh+ schools across India. - Prize Pool & Recognition:
Total prize pool of ₹1 Crore. Awards will be distributed across national, state and district levels.
There will be 10 national winners, 100 state winners, and 1,000 district winners.

🧩 Eligibility & Participation
Guidelines
- Students from Classes 6
to 12 can participate.
- Teams must consist of 5–7
students from the same school.
- Schools can register multiple
teams.
- Entries can be idea-based,
concept sketches, or working prototypes.
- Submissions must be in the
form of photos / short videos (showing the solution) and uploaded
via the official portal.

- To foster a culture of
innovation at the grassroots (school level).
- To connect student
creativity with national development goals and the vision of Viksit
Bharat 2047.
- To ensure inclusive
participation, especially in aspirational, tribal, and remote regions.
- To identify and support

opportunities.
